About the Author
J.A. Baart, Department of Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery, Vrije Universiteit Medical Centre and Academic Centre for Dentistry Amsterdam (ACTA), Amsterdam, the Netherlands. For more than three decades, Dr Baart has taught the dental students of ACTA in oral and maxillofacial surgery and the practical aspects of the administration of local anaesthetics. He now coordinates the course “Introduction to local anaesthesia” at ACTA.

H.S. Brand, Department of Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery & Department of Basic Dental Sciences, Academic Centre for Dentistry Amsterdam (ACTA), Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The Drone Age is a wealth of knowledge for anyone interested in learning more about this new and exciting industry. Writing this book was an wonderful experience and I am already working on the next one.

About the Author
David Preznuk was born in Washington D.C. and grew up in northern Virginia. Growing up David lived in Taiwan and London during his formative years. These experiences instilled a passion for travel, adventure, and the outdoors. He spent more than 20 years as a management consultant to Fortune 100 and Global 1000 companies. In his early 20's David obtained his pilots license and has been passionate about aviation ever since. The Drone Age - A Primer for Individuals and the Enterprise combines his business experience and his passion for all things aviation and aerospace. David left his management career to establish one of the first commercial drone companies (Aerial Strategies) focused on helping customers understand, use, and integrate drones into their organization.

Informative Book

It was a great book for someone interested in learning about drone technology. I found it easy to read and very informative. Too bad this book wasn't available for the FBI to read before they wasted taxpayers money on drone purchases they couldn't operate. I would recommend this book to my friends. I wish it were longer with even more information.

About the Author
Patrick Hurley was born in Spokane, Washington in 1942. He received his bachelor's degree in mathematics (with a Physics minor) from Gonzaga University in 1964 and his Ph.D. in philosophy of science with an emphasis in history of philosophy from Saint Louis University in 1973. In 1972 he began teaching at the University of San Diego, where his courses have included logic, philosophy of science, metaphysics, process philosophy, and legal ethics. In 1987 he received his J.D. from the University of San Diego and he is currently a member of the California Bar Association. He retired from teaching in 2008, but continues his research and writing. His interests include music, art, opera, environmental issues, fishing, and skiing.

www.fsl.orst.edu/~waring/ Dr. Waring is an accomplished writter and professor of forest science. His notable publications include the first edition of Forest Ecosystems written in 1985. Steven W. Running is trained as a terrestrial ecologist, receiving the B.S. (1972) and M.S. (1973) degrees from Oregon State University, and the Ph.D. (1979) degree in Forest Ecology from Colorado State University. He has been with the University of Montana, Missoula, since 1979, where he is a Professor of Ecology. His primary research interest is the development of global and regional ecosystem biogeochemical models by integration of remote sensing with climatology and terrestrial ecology. He is a Team Member for the NASA Earth Observing System, Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer and is responsible for the EOS global terrestrial net primary production and evaporative index datasets. He has published over 240 scientific articles. He currently serves on the standing Committee for Earth Studies of the National Research Council, and on the federal Interagency Carbon Cycle Science Committee. He is a Co-Chair of the National Center for Atmospheric Research Community Climate System Model Land Working Group, a Member of the International Geosphere-Biosphere Program Executive Committee, and the World Climate Research Program, Global Terrestrial Observing System. Dr. Running is a chapter Lead Author for the 4th Assessment of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Prof. Running is an elected Fellow of the American Geophysical Union and is designated a Highly Cited Researcher by the Institute for Scientific Information.

Higher Resolution, Please...

A good idea made with average skill: The tabs are just barely legible on my iPad at the scan resolution used. Reading on the laptop Kindle app actually proved to be WORSE as i was not able to enlarge the pictures of the tab pages. This endeavor would have been better accomplished through secure PDF if the are not going to offer scans at higher resolution. Stick with hard copies of tabs until higher resolution offered. publisher should list the resolution of pictures based on hard copy size (roughly 9"x12"); 300 dpi should be considered a minimum resolution.

I purchased this music book because I'm teaching myself to play bass
and having the tabs along with the music helps me find the frets quicker.

The Stones music is pretty easy to follow. I learned "Let's Spend the Night Together" In only a few tries.

Now, I am going to get the matching CD to play along.

This book is really great. Once I read my first book by Lubrican I ended up buying 27 (yes, I counted) more of his books. His books are fun and sexy. Who can resist a man who "makes loving fun". I guess I am officially a fan. Try it. You won't be sorry, but your pocketbook might.

Stepping beyond the social envelope

This was another great book by Robert Lubrican that drew erotic images within a believable story. The hero in this tale is a heartbroken young man who just stumbles into the purview of an attractive widow and her precocious daughter. What develops in this titilating encounter is a permanent relationship that pushes the envelope of mutual trust, love and sex! A well-thought out plot with exciting twists that you wonder how the author will resolve. And 'resolve' he does with graceful, but humorous aplomb. A memorable and delightful read.

Healthy Reminder and Exhortation

Hudgins argues that likeness education cannot be understood purely in terms of content transfer. That is say, Christian education does not take place simply when information is disseminated. God calls each of us to make apprentices (disciples). What does it look like to make an apprentice? Paul’s description of his relationship with Timothy gives us an idea: ” You, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness, my persecutions and sufferings . . .” (2 Tim 3:10-11; ESV). Hudgins makes the case that likeness education includes imitation of one’s teacher in these areas: teaching, conduct, purpose in life, faith(fulness), patience, love, persecutions and sufferings.

These various facets of likeness education form a grid through which we understand education throughout Luke, Acts, and the broader New Testament concept of the master-apprentice/teacher-student relationship.

Hudgins' work is a challenging read for both students and teachers alike. Implicit is the warning for students to choose their teachers/mentors wisely. You will become like them. The flip side of that is a warning to teachers. Students will become like you. As a Christian educator, your goal is to model Christ so that when your students imitate you, they imitate Him.

Highly valuable material

if you are new to the concept of Experiential Learning then this is a fantastic book. Even if you are familiar with it and just want to know more, it is incredibly useful. Some people, like a former manager of mine, think that EL is just limited to everything being an activity. It is far more than that and this book helps you understand the formula for creating effective EL training. I would say it is a great book for both instructors and instructional designers alike. Forget reading the rest of the reviews. Get this book. It is absolutely worth it and chock full of value for any level of EL practitioner.
