Kinematics before CAD/CAM taught one the motion of solid bodies

I'm actually stunned to find that in the past 17 years since I graduated in Mechanical Engineering, from Washington State University, that Kinematics has been removed from the curriculum and an introductory CAD/CAM course has replaced it--as if that makes up for the in-depth study of Kinematics it replaces can be replaced by such a rudimentary course.
I highly recommend all Mechanical Engineering students and accomplished Mechanical Engineers to keep at least two tombs on Kinematics, on their bookshelves throughout their careers, for personal and professional projects.
This text was a tour de force in it's day. My professor, Ameer Hassan was a God amongst men in Kinematics, Machine Design and non-linear dynamics teaching. We had the luxury of a man, who now works back in the Nuclear Energy industry, so dedicated to his profession that he taught us three different approaches to learning Kinematics, Machine Design and more. He even provided all the lecture notes for all three methods.
The reason I recommend at least two respected books in Kinematics is to find each one with a different approach to understanding the laws of relative motion in rigid two and three dimensional solid body mechanics that is Kinematics.
I'm refreshing myself on all of it and my entire engineering education to apply it with OpenGL and OpenCL. Kinematics brings much of classical mechanics to life and with the aide of advances in parallel programming makes real-time physics accessible today which only seventeen years ago we could dream of modeling.
This books is demanding and thorough. Any serious student who already has a firm grasp on physics, vector calculus and linear algebra should be able to apply their exposure in statics and dynamics to great understanding while working through it.

It's a steal

Good quality textbook for under $5. Hard to beat that, especially with the university book store charging $200+ for a new one.
